07/17/2005: "Midwest Pioneers"

The St. Paul Pioneers have officially changed their team name to the Midwest Pioneers. Along with the new name comes a new look, new attitude and a new home field. The Midwest Pioneers will be playing their home games at the newly remodeled Mounds View High School Field. The surface is field turf and all home games will have 7:00p kickoffs.

The Midwest Pioneers are having a beer bash on Saturday, May 21st from 6:00p-9:00p. The beer bash will take place at Biff's Bar and Grill located at 7777 NE Hwy 65 in Spring Lake Park. Biff's is located on the Northeast corner of Osborne Rd NE and Hwy 65. There will be a free appetizer bar (while it lasts) and free pool. Not to mention the BEER! The cost is $10.00 per person. We are sorry but you must be 21 years old to participate in the beer bash. Everyone is welcome!!! We look forward to a fantastic year of football and can't wait to get the season started. With the addition of the Titans and the Shoremen, this will be a great year in the MFL.
