04/17/2005: "Fawcett Resigns from Shoremen"
Duluth-Superior Shoremen head coach Terry Fawcett resigned at the conclusion of the Shoremen's playoff defeat to the Central Minnesota Thunderbirds. Fawcett led the Shoremen to a 15-8 record, an AFC North Division Title, and two conference championship appearances in his two seasons as head coach. Fawcett, who also coaches at Duluth East High School cited the time away from his family as the sole reason for resigning. "I cannot thank the Davis' enough for affording me the opportunity to coach young men and to bring semi-pro football to my hometown of Duluth. The opportunity to help shape young mens lives has been personally rewarding and fulfilling to me. I will miss the guys."
