Pioneers Family Day
Enjoy a little summer in the middle of the winter as the Pioneers take to the pool for a family swimming day on Saturday, March 26, 2005 at 2:00 PM!
Taken directly from the Maple Grove Community Center website, "The leisure pool features a zero-depth beach area, water spray activities and a 130-foot waterslide. The lap pool features 25-yard lap lanes and a rope swing that drops into12.5 feet of water."

RoughRiders Team Meeting
There will be a team meeting on Saturday April 3rd for every player that is on the current Rough Riders roster. The players will elect team captains at the meeting. The meeting is being held from 1:00-4:00 in the downstairs of Godfathers.

Shoremen Coach Selected to Coach All-Star Game
Duluth-Superior Shoremen Head Coach, Terry Fawcett, has been selected as an Assistant Coach for the "Stars of Tomorrow" Minor League Football All-Star Game on May 7th, 2005, at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Fawcett will coach The FASCO (Free Agent Scouting Combine) All-Stars, who will take on the Detroit Metro All-Stars. Fawcett will coach under Jim Nugent (former DuPage Eagles Coach and American Football Association Hall of Fame member). Congratulations Coach Fawcett!

Shoremen Named "National New Team of the Year" for the Central Region
The Duluth-Superior Shoremen Semi-Pro Football Club was named the National New Team of the Year for the Central Region by Minor League Football News. The team was recognized for their success on the field, as well as their outstanding work in the community. The Shoremen participated in several community service projects, and were recognized with a Certificate of Commendation by Governor Pawlently for their Adopt-A-Highway work. Two Shoremen Players Selected for Bowl Game
Two Duluth-Superior Shoremen players have been selected to participate in the 3rd Annual "Stars of Tomorrow" Bowl game in Detroit, Michigan on May 7th, 2005. All-American offensive tackle, Ryan McKone and Kicker Ryan Rodriguez will be on the Minor League Football News All-Star Team, which will be comprised of many All-Americans from all over the country. They will take on the Detroit Metro All-Stars. Shoremen Coach Terry Fawcett was previously named an assistant for this game. This will be the third off-season all-star game for Rodriguez, who previously played in games in Florida and Hawaii.
